Cars that got worse after Facelifts

We all love to get updated along with our world and surroundings to compete or survive ourselves with others. Carmakers also have this attitude to update their cars by using facelifts to get more competition and thus more sales thereby. As by CarWow " a facelift is a term that encompasses a host of design, interior and tech upgrades to a car in order to maintain its appeal ".

Now lets directly get to the list I have prepared ( that I think facelift made it worse) about these cars. So let's get started.....

1. Hyundai Creta

Yes, The all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta. Creta was once called the "Perfect Suv". Creta won the ICOTY (Indian Car of the year) in 2016. This car was Hyundai one of the most successful cars also. By the end of 2019, Hyundai was planning to launch a new facelift of Creta which resembles a bigger Venue time design.

Hyundai Creta was the choice of a most middle-class family as a car offering a lot of space, a vivid design and an awesome price tag. However, after the grand launch of Kia and mainly the Kia Seltos in August 2019 greatly affected Creta's sales. It was like a very tough competitor to Creta as it offered more features at a medium cost. So Hyundai launched its 2020 Creta

Although it looked fresh and plush inside, the outside design was not received well by all. It was all updated inside with all new technologies to compete with Kia Seltos but it did not win the outside appearance compared with the tiger inspired Kia Seltos. The price starts at 9.81 to 17.31 lacks on showroom price. It got a slightly high price, but its outside appearance was not that thrilling. I think now Kia Seltos is the better option.

2. Hyundai i20 and Verna

This car was the best choice of a small family because of its cute design and outstanding performance. But as time was ticking it was lacking a new interior design and new features to compete with other cars of this segment.

This is an another Hyundai car, its new design looks worse, in fact, I feel all new facelifted Hyundai cars look worse. Just compare the old Santro, Verna with the new ones. I am saying my opinion, if you think like me or against me, just let me know in the comments section. But in my opinion, the old i20 was better.

Although these cars got new features that the new generation wanted, its design was not received by all. But these cars get some sales because of Hyundai's outstanding before sales and after-sales support and sales, which is worthy to be praised of all its logo represents 2 people shaking hands.

3. Maruthi Suzuki Breeza

Yes, one of the most successful SUV of Maruthi. Most of the buyers hated its grill, and they used to change it with another grill like of range rover and jeep. So Maruthi updated its grill and interior to make it trendy, but it did not go well. Now it looks worse than before. It also faces tough competition from Kia Sonet.

4. New Bmw Facelifts

I don't know why the legendary brand BMW does this, but I'm sure it looks the worse. I am talking about the two kidney-shaped grills, yes the main thing about the brand, It is getting bigger and bigger with every generation coming up. We love the old charming small BMW kidney grills than these bulky, bunny-like grills.

The choice is yours, but we think it needs to get back it's old signature grills instead of this. Some say that they have done this to increase its market in developing countries. But we think the opposite is going to happen.

The Conclusion

As per our research cars are launching more faster than before. Earlier launching a car was not very often, it takes a lot of time, designing, checking performances, trends, testing etc. The new cars are good at technology, of course, but not always in design. Even bigger and luxury cars are doing the same. But there are still a considerable amount of cars that look better than before after facelifts. The best example is Mahindra Thar, now it looks amazing.
